THE OFFICER PUT THE WRONG ZIP CODE FOR MY ADDRESS ON THE TICKET, EVERYTHING ELSE IS CORRECT THOUGH. CAN I FIGHT THE TICKET AND PAY NOTHING? If you want more information, read below. Okay so I live in Redding, Shasta County, CA. I was in the next county over- Tehama County, CA. I was driving on I-5 and was cited doing 90 in a 70 zone. I am 16 years old. I was reading up on information about prices, because I just got it tonight, but haven't told my parents yet. Everything was saying it will probably be around $500. So i kept reading. Most things said the best thing to do was try and dispute it. So I looked back at my ticket. The officer wrote everything correct, except he put the wrong zip code for my address, he put the zip code of the county I was in on accident. Does this mean I can dispute the ticket and not pay anything? Or is it a pointless fight? How do work days work? My friend got a ticket for running a red light and got work days at Juvenile Hall. She got like 8 hours for a $400 ticket. any info on this?... Read More »
